Forum seemed a bit slow last few days and I did recently say I would post some photos; problem is, I was hoping to post RECENT finds of some good stuff. NADA, nothing, ZIP !
Recovered these two solitaires about 5 years back,( none since ).The 1st one .31carat was appraised at the time at $2400 by a gemologist. Tested at just under 18k, possibly 17K out of Portugal.Discovered only recently, a faint, very faint date scratched by an unskilled hand of 1927. Second one (18K band and 14K white upper) not appraised but a jeweller said it was a better diamond than the first.Could be as good $wise, even though smaller. Nicely engraved date of 25/12/1942.[attachment 35665 6Maymacrosandrings021.jpg]
