Well if you read my post earlier http://www.findmall.com/read.php?55,1197868 it has turned into the far best week ever..... I went yesterday and today and found more of the sharps ring tails a US button that has Phila W.P. on the back. Was told the William Pinchon only made this particular button in 1827. I found that yesterday.
Today I went and found one more button a scovill waterbury but it was only the back. I tried to find the rest of it, cause the back had a silver sheen to it.
I was about to head in and told myself I'll dig one more bullet. I got a 38 which is a wheatie and thought mmmpph so I dug it and out pops this silver coin....
I had no clue what it was but could barely make it out a shield with a pillar on either side, and some older script letters around the outside . Got home and did some research:confused:.. and ....spanish reale :surprised:... man what a week.

Excellent finds. When I hit a 38, I'm looking for a silver dime. I'd go :yikes: if I turned up a Reale in this part of the Country! Congrats on a couple nice hunts. HH Randy

Great finds . You seem to be doing well with your x-terra:thumbup:

Hey, Gonehunting, that reale looks like it was modified to wear as jewelry or token. Check your research and see if Texas Confederate troops operated in that area, maybe there is more to your discovery. And yes those are great finds, and we are pleased you have recovered from the poison ivy. Txquest
