ran two detectors in a local park this morning,an x terra 705 and a explorer se pro.with the se pro first found $2.80aud.then i went over the same area with the xterra and found a further $8.20aud.i think the multiple frequencies are better suited to beachs.with the xterra i know what i have found by sound and numbers on the screen,where as the hit and miss smartfind left me up in the air mostly.maybe more time with it will help or it could follow the etrac out the door.emubob

It is my belief that the 705 is one of the best land and dry sand at beach hunting machines on the market today. To be fair, its my first serious mid to high level detector. I have the 5x10 DD 18.7 khz coil in case I wish to beach or jewelry hunt and the Digger coil 6" DD 3 khz that wallops!! the devil out of coins. Of coarse the little digger is great for hunting trashy sites. Superb separation. The 705 setup is fun and pretty easy. I keep the digger coil on lately and because it remembers your settings you can just turn on and go. You know this since you've got one. It ID's coins very consistently and that's why its beating your other md's. MHO though..I'm biased because I love the 705. HH
