Went to a park yesterday used park 1. Setting on was 0, 25, 0, 5, 12 down cut out, and 3. Got 6 dollars and 1 cent. Looks like it works good. Try park 2 later.

Thats a good bit of digging.
Are you saying you discriminated from 12 down? You may already know this but thats where a lot of gold comes in and some nickels and old buttons. ( some US gold coins)
But you will eliminate a lot of little stuff you wouldn't want. Little can slaw, some buckshot and some foil.
I have mine set higher than some which is 8 and down. But I'm mainly relic hunting. And if I'm on the right spot I'm going lower.
If I was in a park I would at least dig 6 and up to get most (not all) of the gold and of course all of the pull tabs.

Yes 12 down. I'll try 10 down. In the parks what I was hunting it's a lot of trash. You would not hunt gold there. You would spend all your time doing trash and I mean a lot of it.

I just put 5 little gold ring under the coil and they all hit on 7 and 8 and 1 larger gold ring hit on 18. So put it 0n 6 down out. Thanks for the help.

Your rings come in very close to what mine do. I have tested 12 different gold rings and mine are 8 to 19.
I have seen others test gold up to about 22, 23 and down to 1. Nice gold chains at 1 or 2.
I know what you mean about the trash. I try to avoid it but I know I'm loosing some good targets when I do. Last weekend I dug an eagle button at 10, it was thin and in bad shape but I was glad to have it.

I've had many silver rings ring up like pennies, if you notch out, you loose out. Yesterday found 3 small bits of silver, 2 came from the same necklace (Identical beads) and a larger piece.
