Panama City Day one, got to return a ring.

Got in to our friends late Friday afternoon, had supper and I road down to the beach just to locate a few places to hunt Sat. morning, mostly looking for parking places. Hit the beach Sat. around 6:00 am
after a couple hrs. of getting beat up I went to St. Andrews State Park. Some Jetties there to protect you from the waves, and allot of people there. Started near the Kids swim area, ran into Tray and Jimbo, two locals that got there by boat before the park opened.( they have yearly passes)I got some of the usual stuff at the Kids area, clad, toys and junk.I crossed the walkway to the Beach and took another hr. of beating. A young man came out waist deep to ask if I could help find his ring, (Tungsten Carbide wedding band) he lost while throwing a football. He and his wife had been looking an hour for it in knee deep water. The second target I hit I scooped it up , when I handed it to him, his wife looked like a cheerleader at the Superbowl, jumping and screaming "He got It". They ask what I wanted. All I ask for was to get a couple pics. to share.

I still find it odd that people would wear a wedding band made of tungsten carbide. Where do they buy them? Home Depot?

Those rings are worth pretty good money :)

Not bad looking either :)

From my understanding these rings after polishing are extremely hard and scratch proof under normal conditions. It was a nice looking ring.

You've got lots of gold out there just waiting to climb into your scoop!
Get out there and dig it, Joe.
I know these tungsten and stainless rings are all the rage but nothing looks sweeter in the bottom of your scoop than GOLD.

Good Hunting,

Heck, I tried to help him find it after he lost it this winter. He did find it, after I told him to look in his car.

He said his cost over $800. It sounded off just like a square tab, exactly like my wedding band, same size and weight, but 14K.

Sometimes you just never know.

I could only think of a few things after reading your post PaPa:
1. Man what super luck to find the ring on the 2nd target. That is awesome.
2. What a good deed you done did for those folks.
3. Wish you coulda got a picture of the little lady doing her cheerleading impersonation - - - WHAAAT!
