Pam is having a great DIV and I am getting skunked

I have found a couple of buckles. Not of the US or CS persuasion. And I found the front piece of a musket and a few other items. I have not found one bullet yet. The ground here is so mineralized a cut nail sounds like fantastic, iron sounds great until you turn the dirt over and bullets sound like crap until you turn the dirt.

Not that I would know, I have to take Pam's word for it. She found 4 enfields, 1 two ring gardner and a three ringer today. Yesterday she found the brass piece of a scabbard tip. She did very well for not having done this type of thing before.

I'll post some pictures later this evening after dinner.....

Tomorrow is another day and with any luck I'll find something good then. :detecting:

That thing is nice but it was killing my shoulder so I had to switch. It is a heavy machine and with heving to ground balance ever few feet it got real heavy real fast. Jeff, I kid you not the ground is so bad there I would have to literally rebalance my machine every 10 to 12 feet. It is unreal.....

If that makes sense..
don't spend time trying to decide if it's a good target..
dig more targets and your percentage will go up.

Pam prolly doesn't know if it's a good target so she digs it.

The best thing about rough ground is it makes you a better detector.
that's why I love detecting in horrible ground.

OK Butch....... Go kick Eds butt on Sunday !!!

I can't rely on my meter or readout to tell me anything tangable. It lies like a rug. I'll keep at it tomorrow and things will turn for me, I just know it.
