Found these next to each other in wooded site that has produced wheaties, a William III Halfpenny (ca. 1700) and everything in between. These were only a couple of inches deep. Seem to be made of brass. The top loop on one of them is smaller than on the other. Any ideas? Thanks, Dan

Hi Rat:

Sorry I took so long to respond. There were no responses for awhile so I figured I had hit a dead end. To answer your question, no, there is no hole. Thanks for your interest, Dan

Thanks for the response T. Can you point me to a picture of the kind of hook you are talking about? Best, Dan
