Painted Bunting again

Took this pic a few minutes ago of Painted Buntings I have been feeding for the past seven to eight years. They leave in April and come back in late October. No one else in the area have ever seen them and they will only eat Finch seed. To me they are so beautiful. Hope you enjoy. Taken through glass door with camera hiden behind curtins at 300 mm.

Humming Bird

Took in the summer of 2007 here in GA

Beautiful bird I have never seen one, where do they migrate to in the summer? I've seen a finch in a pet store that looked something like that. Great picture thank you. Chuck

Thanks Chuck. They migrate to North and South Carolina in the spring of the year. They may migrate even further north but not sure. I also have a few Indigo Buntings that stop by in the spring on their way to North.

Nice pictures of the humming bird.. I can't seem to get them to stop at my house. I have put up feeders several years and only saw one and he was in the flower garden and never at the feeder.... Thanks for sharing.
