For the last few days I've been hitting one of my favorite spots. I had found an area where the light shell and debris had washed out leaving the heavier articles behind. I knew I had traveled back in time when I found a wheatie( rare on renourished beaches). Day 1 I turned up a nice 10k ring ,some sinkers and assorted trinkets . Day 2 was not that great but again found some junk jewelry and sinkers . Having only put in a couple hours total , I still felt something old and good was within reach . Day 3 I only had about 45 minutes of daylight left and almost didn't go. Boy, am I glad I did ! My first signal rang in at a solid 12-09 in all directions . What I had just found was a beautiful , antique , 6.4 g platinum and diamond ring ! I felt the stone had to be real being set in platinum. After 2 appraisals it's been determined that the center stone is a 1.25 carat VS1G worth about $ 10,000.00 ! I've been on quite a high since finding it . Unbelieveable how it could be in that environment for so long and still come out flawless. In the 37 years I.ve been detecting this ranks in my top 5 . Thanks for looking .

Awesome recovery. Might be time you considered changing your user name to thE-CTXer. HH Randy

#1 was an unbelievable ring that I found about 25 years ago . 14 grams of platinum set with 56 diamonds and 16 emeralds . Only ring I've ever had to sell (mortgage payment ) and wish I still had it .

I 've made some amazing finds and love this sport/ hobby. Not so much for the monetary reasons but for the thrill of the hunt. There is nothing like researching tides, beaches, taking out a beautiful machine like the 30/30 , and putting it all together and finding gold . I have to admit...once you find that 1st gold you'll be hooked forever. And that means many times not finding anything , but I guarantee ,if you put the time and effort in , there are these and better out there waiting to be found . That's why you'll see me at the beach looking for another one .

That is unreal. Still looking for my high value target, only found 1 gold ring so far, no stones left in it. Congrats x100!
