Calabash... What coil are you using in this video? looks like a 9". do you use the 9 a lot while relic hunting? Seems like you would lose some depth with the 9.
what are the settings that you normally use for this type of detecting?

thanks,
gene

I use the 9 inch coil 85% of the time the 11 gets the open spots and not some much iron infested spots. I couldn't fathom of swinging a 9 inch coil to relic hunt with before I got the deus. I was told by a experiencd user to get the nine when I bought my machine and of course I got the 11 inch coil.lol. I picked up a used one and man fell in love with that coil. The 11 probably gives you a inch more depth maybe. The deus coils are very different than most other brands in that you can boost the power to the coil hence tx power. In my soil in most area I can run it at 3 and sens 93 and it gets killer depth. I'm talking about hitting 12 inch silver dimes and 14 inch large cents UNHEARD of for 9 inch coils. So I can walk around and tag deep targets and then run into some very thick iron and shift programs and have a sniper coil on steroids so I got the best of both worlds.

Cool beans man. Hard to imagine 12 inch dimes with the 9 incher but I believe you for sure. Thanks for the info. I just got a 9 so I will be feeling even more confident with now that I have heard from you.

solis conditions will vary depths, but dont worry the nine is deep air test it with it cranked up.It hits silver at depth better than clad. Thats a silver dime I have buried,

Unlike CD, I coin hunt in some really trashy areas and would never have used a 9" coil for the opposite reasons(smile) but I've dug coins and even smaller treasures at 12" also. I have ordered the new 9x11 to try to pull some really deep coins from some pounded areas, but that will be it. The 9 will be the go to most of the time including when I relic hunt where lots of iron is usually the biggest challenge.

LOL! Calabash the best part of your reply was "I was told by a experiencd user to get the nine when I bought my machine and of course I got the 11 inch coil".

Made me laugh as I am the same way!
