Minelab Quattro MP. Waiting to receive. Been reading the book by Andy Sabich (sp). Anyone out there with the MP? <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/ml.gif" BORDER=0 width=30 height=15 ALT="m~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/ml.gif" BORDER=0 width=30 height=15 ALT="m~">

Mike from Va. beach is a field tester fot the MP. I have had the pleasure of using at Va. Beach for a couple of hours and was amazed at the depth. I can honestly say I have seen nothing go deeper in the sand. I hunt with a CZ and have owned many Minelabs. The MP is clearly a great beach machine just dont get it wet.

As Scottishblood said, the Quattro is an amazing machine at the beach. It goes WAY deep...deeper than you will want to dig sometimes. All you need to do is run in in "Coin and Jewelry" mode and set the sensitivity to about 18, sweep it slow and dig it all. I've pulled dimes and quarters that were so deep that my Excal and two CZ's got NO SIGNAL AT ALL from them. And yet, there they were. Amazing.
You know there's a Quattro forum right? Also if you go back a ways on the Explorer forum there are numerous Quattro posts. Set the preferences to show about 4 months of posts and do a "find" for "Quattro" and you'll see plenty of mine. Also there's a Minelab forum over at "the other place" that will remain nameless.
