Overloading Gain

When the "Gain Adjustment " is set to high and the "Overload" message appears, can any damage be done to the MD if it is for an extended period of time ? Let's say the MD was put down and unattended and the Gain was to high , can anything happen to damage the unit ?

I think maybe just run the batteries down faster. can't think of anything else.

I don't know, but I'm darn sure not going to be the one who tried to find out/ Hey Larry/IL HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!! KC

It should be OK, I can't imagine what it would hurt.

Thanks Larry/IL, I knew you'd come thru. I've been in situations at times that have really scared me as at the middle of my swing, I'd hit, say a soft drink/beer can and in getting it over it I'd run right into another can and overload at the end of my swing. Thanks Larry, now it wont worry me so much to think it might blow a fuse or some component. KC aka
