OVERLOAD

Today I was out with the explorer working normally and hear a good tone with a 28 in digital. So I start the rescue of that coin but when I was trying to locate it appeared in the screen the word OVERLOAD as the first time that happens.
What that means?
Thanks in advance

wen there is a big item like a flat still plate that the Explorer see it as to big so it gos to OVERLOAD i get it some times and i dont dig them

It may be a good target or it may be garbage, depends on what you are looking for. Usually an overload or an audio warble means you have an oversized target relatively shallow. Raise your coil away from the target to get an ID of what type of target it is and then use your pinpoint mode to determine the size of the target. If your in a public park looking for coins it is probably a can or some other garbage item. But if your in a civil war area looking for relics you have a cannon ball on your hands. My point is that an overload isn't always trash, but it's probably big and it's probably shallow.
