This is a first for me. A wrought iron decorative piece. Over 4 feet long and intact. Might have to take it to the sand blaster to clean it up. Not sure what it was used for. Entry way? It has 10 loops, most of which can move. There are small metal stops to keep them from moving too much. However, the loops can fit over the stops to move all the way to the bottom. Each loop has a small ring attached to hold something. Needless to say I think it was a pretty cool find.
Also found my 6th Indian. 1906 rang up 12-35 at about 8 inches. Merc numbers bounced something terrible. Almost didn't dig it but the tone was good. Glad I did!
The token was for the Belleair Causeway near Clearwater, Fl. 12-38 This is my 2nd bridge token this week. Found 22 Skyway Bridge tokens a few days ago in a different part of town.
Thanks for looking and HH,
Bunker

That must have been a pain to get out of the ground. Very cool though.

Cool find and you brought that home? You must not be married.I need to buy me a small sand blaster. Thanks for pictures.

That's a cool find and will be great once you sandblast it and do a litlle restoration !!! However, my wife would say "Leave it the way it is it's shabby chic." Congratulations on all your finds !!

Very nice ! :beers:

I have been informed that it is a drapery rod for a arch topped window. Cool!
Thanks everyone!

I could clean that iron piece up so nicely in my electrolysis tank. I use it to restore antique cast iron.

Built this electro tank in my garage. It's powered by a car battery charger.

Electrolysis will remove all corrosion and will clean that piece down to bare iron. You can then wipe it down with a thin coat of canola oil and bake it in the oven at 350-degrees for an hour and it will be jet black and look great. You've found a beautiful piece of Americana. It would look great hanging on the wall over a mirror or something. I don't think you'd have a problem making a nice chunk of change on it either.

Good luck with it.

Oh, if you want to know how to build your own electro tank, just send me a personal message.

Thanks Dan,
I have a small tank I built but this one would be a tough to fit. Might have to take it to a pizza restaurant to get it into an oven!
Will have to figure something out.
Your pictures were very impressive!

It looks like a decorative curtain or drapery rod. Those nubs or stops are to there to keep it in place.I have a wrought iron rod with those same spokes or whatever you want to call them. Very nice find!
