A bunch of us got out for coffee tonite to discuss our finds found over the summer. Of course the finds were were a little exaggerated to make the stories sound much more interesting. We all use different makes and models of machines, and we really couldn't care less what the other guy swings, but three of us are Garrett users. Well, the three Garrett users brought along all their gold finds from this year, and I brought along my electronic scale. I weighed each ring and tallies them all up in grams.

<center><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b330/John-Edmonton/goldtotals2.jpg">

Here are the totals from the Garrett users. A good portion of the rings were found with Garrett Detectors. The totals were 33 gold rings including some gold chains too. To keep it all simple, I never bothered factoring in the different gold karats. I just weighed the ring in grams, which came to 173.9 Grams.

The math conversions work like this:

173.9 Grams = 6.134 Ounces = 0.383 LBS

And, you get gold where you find it!

Those are some amazing finds and the fact that you can share them with friends, make the all the more valuable.

I hope all goes well in your neck of the woods. 12 inches of snow here and cabin fever setting in. :( And.....I have an Infinium on its way :).

"Your item left the United States from MIAMI AMC at 1:31 PM on December 13, 2006. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

So.....where is it today??? Pirates got it?....maybe raided ship?

Hey John, keep us posted on the Infinium gig. There is a lack of intel on this unit. I would like to know how it does for ya! I think the 8" coil would be cool, but the eliptical is a pain. You probably won't like it in the water. Very hard to control. Don;t forget to coat the bottom of your coil with Loctite Aquamarine Expoxy. If not you'll wear right through the coil bottom and she'll false on ya!
