Outlaw

I agree with Dan, push button is a little tricky to learn at first.

Otherwise, Nice detector to use glad I have one. Recently, picked up a nice used model.

No regrets,
Paul

And that's what you are not liking?

The only fault I could see with this model, like others said, was the button. But only at first. Most are used to a 2 position button like the pinpoint button on the vaquero or Cibola. It is the same actual button but in the outlaw it utilizes the 3 positions the switch is designed for. In the vaquero and the Cibola they have it wired for 2 positions. On and off (pushed in or out) but the outlaw there is an out, half pressed, and full pressed which once you learn it is pretty sweet actually. In disc mode you can half press for non motion all metal or full press for auto return all metal. Also you can half press for non motion all metal then momentarily press all the way then release back to half press to manually retune it and go back into non motion.
This is the same as being in non motion all metal mode and pressing the retune button to "shrink" the target down, but can be done in disc mode.
Also you have to remember to hold coil up in air and press the button again to "detune" back to the baseline of where you set the threshold to begin with to continue hunting new targets

As I said, can be confusing and I honestly don't use it often but kind of cool that you can go from disc, to no motion and manually retune then go back to disc. Or just be in disc and fully press it to be similar to what most are used to as a pinpoint button on the vaquero or Cibola.

Most times I have no real use for pinpoint button on Tesoro because of how well you can just X the target and find where it is.

I don't see it as a fault and actually pretty cool but if I had to pick a fault it would be that because most don't read the manual to understand how it all works and then complain about it.

For any who want to actually read in the manual about the button in disc mode it's "step 7" in the "air test - self-guided tutorial" section of the manual.
