Outlaw threshold

The threshold on my Outlaw in all metal mode is choppy sounding and not smooth, kind of hard to describe. I make sure it's ground balanced well, so it's not that. I never experienced this with my previous Tesoro units. I guess I should post a YouTube vid so everyone can hear what I'm talking about.

Any thoughts.

Kapok.......

Yes, I have noticed that quirk on the Outlaw, when in the DISC mode and you want to pinpoint a target, then flip the toggle to ALL METAL the Threshold is funky. What I do to get a good Threshold is to flip the toggle to the left... past ALL METAL to AUTO to get a good Threshold and then flip the toggle switch back to ALL METAL, then it works like any other Tesoro with manual tune all metal mode. The Outlaw has some quirks but when learned well, it is a great machine.

Randy, overall I'm impressed with the machine and the more I get to know it, the more depth and accuracy I'm getting. I'll check out your suggestion.

I don't think your problem sounds like excessive sensitivity but its worth trying to lower in a little.

Also check your battery! When the battery gets weak the Outlaw will do some funky things. The start up battery tone is not a reliable indicator on battery strength with this model.

mine is wobbly also think that's just how they are I GB in auto also , I don't use threshold to hunt with on this machine.
