Outlaw relic hunt, 4-7-13

got out to the farm feild i have hunted with other detectors, but this time with the outlaw, and its powerfull all metal no motion , found things i wonder how i missed like the big chunk of a cast Iron stove, and a nice horse shoe nail. I would switch to threshold and that would really narrow it down . I wonder how many cord of wood that stove burned, how many pots of coffee it cooked, how many loaves of bread and apple pies it baked, after a hard day in the feild, stomachs growling the workers got a big plate of mashed potatoes and gravey, and a big chink of beef and some fresh baked bread , and some hand pumped well water with no clorine in it now only a chunk of its former glory .

Would be nice if some of those old relics could talk Nice find thanks for sharing

That is a cool piece of old stove!.I know, the outlaw is turning out great!.I now know it is a awesome relic detector, now i am going to hunt the dry sand at the beach to see how it does for jewelry.I am going to alternate dry, wet, and hunt the beach a good bit. This will tell me a lot about the outlaw.I really like this no motion in certain situations though. :-D

spirit R I cant say how it will handle salt but i assume you mean the dry sand, I can tell you it loves gold rings and will hit them deep , pleas let us know how it goes if you do take it out ,

Nice find Gunnar. That patina looks great.

sometimes them old wood stove pieces are very ornate. I believe in the old days, when the wood stove lost it's purpose, burnt out, most where cast iron, so they just smashed them up and tossed them in their field junk pile. I used to come across pieces all the time at celler holes and old fields...

Nice looking piece for sure
