I'm trying to learn the ins and outs of how to properly use the retune button and could have sworn I had once upon seen a link on this forum with a video that showed us outlaw challenged folks how to use this feature correctly. Any help would be appreciated as well as any other outlaw related tips, thank you.

i don't use the pinpoint part of the button its just a retune button to reset the internals to where you had them set if they start to wavier or when making adjustments give it a push to make them stick as far as i know. its has other uses regards pinpointing but i havnt got time for that just get the thing out and move on

maybe i am wrong but that's what i use it for

I found a video by spiritrelic that was helpful and had seen it in the past but it seems he was switching it over to non motion all metal via the switch rather than using the retune button to pinpoint with. I just don't want to throw off my disc settings by improperly using the retune to pinpoint with. Am I doing it wrong by using the retune feature to pinpoint rather than use the switch to go into no motion all metal?

have a read of this pretty much explains it for using the pinpoint/retune button.

Thank you, that was helpful and very descriptive of using the no motion all metal as shown in the video that I saw.

I actually learned this on my own. Just remember when you set off again to FULLY PRESS The retune button with the coil in the air. Otherwise you have reduced your depth to nothing.
