outlaw in my future

Well I've had it with my Xterra 705, I just cant understand the language. I'm sure it is going over good stuff but it keeps telling me not to dig. I am selling it and getting an Outlaw and a Diablo umax if I can find one. I wanted a dual gold and tresure hunter detector but the xterra doesnt cut it for me so I am getting a Outlaw for tresure and the Dablo umax for gold. Probably getting a Golden someday also. I love Tesoro.

I don't think you'll go wrong with the selections ! To me I like the simpler the better!

Right on Hank. Less is finding me more.

You're going to really like the Outlaw a lot. I bought a Minelab 305 and 505 and sold both of them in a hurry.

Amen Mike preach on brother, I'll take a Tesoro any day of the week!

The hard part is finding the Diablo Umax. I really like the design of that detector for nugget hunting.

Machine man there is a Diablo on eBay !

He's looking for the lighter Diablo uMax.

My bad, sorry.

I dont know if digital is such a bad thing. Digital is supposed to be faster and its definitely smaller. I think that Tesoro will make digital detectors in the future but they will be Tesoros all the same. If they could make the best analog detectors they should be able to make the best digital detectors. Imagine how small a digital Tesoro would be, and how long the batteries would last. I bet they could put all of there detectors in one umax housing. Im seeing an Outlaw with auto ground tracking, multi tones, notch discrimination, with selectable pulse induction gold and beach mode, all in a waterproof case. :surprised:Id pay big for that! Come on Tesoro start the new revolution.

And you just never know....Tesoro may come out with a really nice Digital detector that many will like..

A Meter is a tool.... It assists you with a dig, or not dig decision. It is my opinion Tesoro will have to design an updated digital in the future...
If for no other reason than to stay in the competitive realm of detecting..

Understand please this is only my opinion ..... from a business point of view. Any company must stay competitive to remain in business.... They must also offer a choice for people ...

Being that you know you like the compadre.Meters on detectors are a waist, they drain batteries, serve no purpose to me,all the hunters that have a meter say they don't go by it,then why have it.

Elton said it best - a meter is just another tool to help the operator. Anyone who uses the meter and only the meter is going to have a pretty frustrating hunt. To me, having more tools at my disposal is useful, especially when the detector is price, feature and performance competitive with a beep-and-dig.

All metal detectors except tesoro have gone to digital circuits,so they push these digital meters and detectors down our throats,

With all due respect, that's patently ridiculous. No-one forces you to buy a Minelab or a Garrett. They offer their products to those that wish to buy them.

Tesoro will never submit to this digital take over in the metal detector industry.

I used to really enjoy this forum up until about 22 days ago, but recently it has become more annoying and tiresome to wade through 300 posts of this kind of stuff. Maybe it's time for a break.

I think that Tesoro has a bigger cult following than the other brands. The other companys make great detetcors also but we love our Tesoros. Mabe I was just too impatient to learn my 705 but thats the way it is.

I rather enjoyed lurking here myself. An antagonist with blinders makes for a boring and an un-informative read. HH jim tn

Tesoro has a chance to think about new design strategies, while the rest will be stuck behind the so called great vid detectors.

Maybe that should have read:

Tesoro HAD a chance to think about new design strategies, while the rest left Tesoro far behind as they advanced the more functional VDI (not vid) detectors.

What was it, something like 8 years we (I included me in the waiting line) have held out before Tesoro brought us the Outlaw. More or less a reconfiguration or blend of the Bandido II
