OUTLAW DEPTH TESTING WITH INCREASING DISCRIMINATION

someone asked how the Outlaw does if you increase the disc , WILL IT LOOS DEPTH so I made this video buried dimes one at 5" one at 7" and one at 9" basically in this magnitite infested soil i could not get the 9" but it was amazing how well it did right up to zinc on the disc dial , and if the outlaw can hit a dime at 7" it will do better on depth on other things especially gold rings and brass tokens or even a quarter I tried the 7" DD coil and was only getting a spitting sound on the 7" dime but its disc was the same so it is good at finding things with an increased disc level witout losing depth

Nice video! In that crappy soil, especially freshly buried, that is darn good depth on a dime. Air test are nice, but nothing like seeing the real thing. As usual great job on another video! The Outlaw is deeper than I figured. In my mild soil it would really be amazing.

Well, you guys got me looking hard at the Outlaw now. I'm on the SC coast in very mild soil.

I wonder how the Outlaw would do with Civil War relics ?

Rainyday where are you at ?

Nice video bro. That is a super little machine! Even in your highly mineralized soil it got good depth. Keep up the great videos!

Just did a test with a gold band 14k, i cut a plug at 5" and laid the ring flat and put the plug back in, at disc just above foil no problem at all, open the hole and dug one inch down and put the ring back in, this would be at 6" plug back and still no problem on same settings, at 7" it wouldn't pick up but in all metal it would blow your ears off, yes at 7"!!

I decided that i didn't need to go any farther, and if you watch Gunnar and 53 Silver videos my unit is identical with settings, this detector is exciting and will get that deeper targets.

Digger what coal where you using,? my 7" coal was only making a spitting sound at 7" on the dime

Jerry Ga, I am in north eastern Wisconsin just north of them famous Green Bay Packers.

I keep thinking I need to go deeper and having the Silver uMax that the outlaw with three coils would be great as the coils would work with my silver too. I would love to try a Vaq, but on the other hand I have become real fond of the umax detectors with their sweet tones, excellent target separation, and decent depth. Tonight I had my silver umax at a park with my kid and we found a bunch of clad, a 1935 wheatie, and ring with a nice stone. The ring appears to plated with the main body being what looks like copper. This is the second ring I have found with a copper body. The other was found by my Tiger Shark and appears to have 5 small diamonds with the sixth one missing. Both are definetely old. Was this common too plate copper rings? Anyway when the umax hits a target there is no doubt. This keeps bringing me back to thinking about the outlaw as a possibility, and then Gunnar makes another excellent video again and really gets me thinking. Everbody should know that detectors do poorly on depth with freshly planted coins. Add to that he did this in crappy mineralized soil and still hit the coin clearly at that depth. I know I would have been digging that signal. Looks like one great detector for a reasonable price with the three coils.

I was using the new 8" coil i haven't used the 12" yet and it should go deeper. Once again this was newly planted but i tried not to disturb the soil as i stuck the ring in the hole and packed it back down. This was in disc mode just above foil setting.

I also messed with the ground balance, but did not post it , I found that when ground balance was negative the machine was prone to falsing, and i am not talking a little negative but more than usual , it would false but when + ground balance i had no problem with falsing so I was at neutral. I know some talk of the power ground balancing and i believe its done negative, if dong that you may experiance more falasing just another discovery I have made with the Outlawr I have to admit the 8" coil was nice and it was deep , I wish i had it back but I am to cheep to get one now but it is a nice deep coil . I bet it could have hit the 7" dime well in my video .

A freshly planted 7 inch dime, in my soil, is easily within reach of the Outlaw using the 8 inch concentric coil.
