Outlaw /CSC/ Beep&Dig

Went out beep n dig n all day Sunday with my 19 year old son.We went to a sports field with CSC's on the Outlaw and the Eldorado. I had every intention of using the Eldorado, but my son was having a little trouble with understanding the Outlaw, so I set him up with my normal rig. (Eldorado CSC)
I have to say, it took me a bit to adjust to the way the Outlaw pronounces a target. I think I did pretty well with it in an 8 hr hunt. I did not find any rings(bummer), but I sure found plenty of pennies!
I have to say, I missed my Eldorado though. Lot better Tone (IMHO), and I feel the Eldorado has more depth and a better signal strength(loudness) to help judge depth and/or size of target. This may not hold true with other coils, but it seems that way with the CSC. It really bangs on the coins. I can usually tell the shallow quarters by how they seem to ignite sharply and solidly. (Hard to explain)
*I have also had very good luck with finding rings and jewelry with the Eldorado

With the Outlaw, many times I would try to guess the coin before I would dig, and I would think, hmm-penny, and would be surprised to find a quarter that was shallow. I would also get stumped on the nickles. I would think, hmm-junk target, and would be surprised to find a nickle at a couple inches. Obviously I dug everything, so I still came away with those goods to. The biggest thing I had to overcome, was swinging to fast, expecting a loud, solid tone. Many times a coin at a couple inches would just be a sort of blip, that I would come back and investigate. Upon investigating, the target would repeat better, and thus get dug.

Anyway, We both enjoyed ourselves and got plenty of leg exercise.

Two of my favorite Tesoros, Outlaw and Eldorado! Looks like you had a great hunt, too!

I just missed in gettng a Eldorado due to my reflexes simular to those of a dead cow. It is soccer, football season here and I've not collected anything from the concession stands lately. No one else hunts for new coins here , they only want the old coins.

The Eldorado is a beast in my book. It really packs a punch when hitting coins. I will be taking the El Dorado on a week-long journey the 17th of October. I took the week off hoping to beat the winter weather.
Hopefully the weather holds out until then. I will just be hunting newer ground in hopes of finding a little more gold before my season ends.

E 1 or E 2 ?

don't know why they thought it was a good idea calling 2 of their detectors the same name :poke:

nice lot of coins there
