Outlaw at the beach

I have hip mounted my outlaw and purchased a long cable 8in concentric and a tesoro hip mount bag . I have been using it for fresh water dry sand and shallow water beach detecting. It has been workings great and I had wondered if any one has tried the same and if so what do you think about this setting up.

I have a Golden Sabre II that came stock with an 8' coil cable and a submersible coil..... Used to do the same as you, hip mount, and wade into the water (fresh) up to about 2' deep chasing coins/rings........ That same coil & cord is still on the 24 yr old machine.... PS....don't fall down...lol

Never ran the outlaw but my favorite choice for freshwater has been the tesoro compadre with the 11x8 inch epsilon coil . I mounted the compadre circuitboard inside a set of grayghost headphones similar to the detectorpro units. it works like a shamp. Freshwater ring magnet.
