Outing

Me and my darlin' are goin' out this weekend. We plan to go to Walker Lake and see what we can dig up. I'm wonderin' if there are any differences when near mineralized water than in just plain sand? We have the good old Cutlass II and a fisher gold bug. I got the gold bug from a pawn shop, traded my banjo and violin for it and fifty bucks cash. Never did learn the banjo or violin, besides I messed up my fore finger and can't press down on the strings. lol Anyway we are lookin' forward to having fun.

Sic em Coyote, I hope you you have a great hunt and find some gold. Bill In Texas :tesoro:

Salt water or highly mineralized areas are a little different than regular sand. My experiences with the Cibola around salt water is a little further down the forum at:

May not entirely apply to Walker Lake, I've never been near there.

Good luck. It sounds like a terrific outing!
