Outer Banks N.C. bound !! Conditions??

Heading to the Outer Banks of N.C. the week of April 9th!! Will be staying in Whalehead for the week! Can anyone tell me what the conditions are?/ I will be using my minelab Explorer and Fisher CZ20!
Also has anyone heard from Captain Seaweed!!
Have not seen a post from him for a while and hope that all is well with the Captain and his soda pop pirates!
