Out With The Garrett PI Snow Hunter Mark II Today.....

Went out late this afternoon for a hunt. I did manage to get a fair share of cold cash. This PI machine is real easy to pinpoint with. You just move the coil left to right several times, find the center, then back up. When you lose the signal, the signal is pretty well under the edge of the coil. The neat thing about PI's is that you don't have to be moving the coil to get the signal.

WTG John!

I love clad.....especilly those two dollar coins !

Your breaking new ground with that machine I bet the manual has nothin in it about hunting in snow and cold weather.
Finding stuff is one thing but getting it out of the frozen ground is another.

This machine goes deep and works great in areas not saturated with junk. Mmmmm.... Snow = water, so a water machine should work good in snow. A scientific evaluation! :nerd:

It gets depressing  only detecting in snow.....I miss water, green grass, sand, silver, gold. Another 5-6 weeks, then maybe things will improve. :)

Yeah I'm looking for that improving weather. We have had one of the crappiest winters on record with all kinds of screwy weather.
