The top group is from a reservoir i`ve been hitting. The bottom is from up in the mountains. Took a ride in the Rockies Sunday to spend some quality time with my wife Linda. I took along the 2500 and the 1000 since she said she may get a bug to try detectin. She didn`t but that`s ok. It gave me a chance to see how the 2500 reacted in the mountains. The stock coil performed well even near the water. The ground minerals must not have been to bad or the 2500 is that good. I have had it near black sand which it didn`t like when at the reservoir. Keep diggin and keep up the great posts guys.

Hi Bob
Have you tried using the all metal mode and turning on fast track, it will take care of the changing minerialization and it is alot deeper than disc mode, plus the 2500 will still id targets. It works kinda like a visual discrimination. TB

Not many machines like black sand unless they are designed to handle it.

I have not gotten into the all metal aspect of it yet. I do plan to though. Thanks
