Spent most of the day in Edmonton searching for possible old finds. We found a patch where many a kid had sniffed some glue. There were tubes everywhere. Also dug this nice porcelain plate that the treasures are sitting on. He used the AT Pro - 5 x 8 coil & I used the AT Gold with the 5 x 8 coil.

This find really baffled us. A watch? A compass? It ended up being a pocket watch case, which the watch was originally shipped in to protect it. Who would have ever known....

Here's a nice toy from the 1930's. It has one wheel still attached. Originally, all the wheels were made of cardboard. Weird!

Here's a silver quarter I got with the AT Gold. I also came across the skull of a coyote. I removed the one remaining front tooth for my daughter, as she wants to make some jewelry out of it. Dang nice day.

How anybody could like sniffing glue is beyond me. There was a glue factory between my post and our supply depot in Germany and it was an awful odor. Much worse than the farmer's fields behind our barracks that had manure spread on them and were shall we say: Earthy.... Nice plate, watch case and silver quarter and old car. Making jewelry from coyote's teeth, well.....They make stuff from deer antlers and bones, so six of one half-dozen of another. Please post a photo of the item she makes when it's finished and let us see what it looks like. I admire creative people and wish I had the talent. HH.

Nice job on the silver John. Never knew they made toy cars with cardboard tires.

My daughter likes teeth and bones and feathers and all that stuff we find...she turns it into jewelry as well... very cool. All treasures arn't necessarily metal.
