Out with my neice and nephew ages 7 and 5. We waited til sunset to let the heat die down . Hunted the old cotton mill house my parents recently purchased. I covered some territory there I was saving because I wanted to pull some good targets for them. We steadily pulled clad and zinc pennies which they shared every other coin w/ no fuss no matter what the denomination was. I would cut the plug of grass let them reach in for a handfull of dirt and test it under the coil. their expression was priceless when the detector sounded. They scored just over 3 bucks in clad. My dad scored another Sunoco automobile token. I scored a 1970 Harnett Co. dog tag and a lucky horseshoe missing the penny. Also dug a 1970 one peso which stayed with my dad. Nothing Really great but an awesome time with the future generation of detectorist.
