I received my new NOX 900 this afternoon. After charging up the headphones and the detector, I figured I’d have perhaps an hour after dinner to test it out. I went to a vacant lot I recently hit with an 800, which had previously been the site of a 1940s house. My finds that time were limited to a few zincs and even fewer pre-82 memorials. Since I haven’t had the time to configure the detector with all the settings, I thought I’d just use the factory setup, to see how the machine would do. I am favorably impressed with the results. In the hour I was there, I dug seven zincs, 1 pre-82 cent, two “Wheaties”. (1944-d & 1957-s), a junk pendant and a really small kid’s ring. I was using the 11” coil.
I think I’m going to like this machine!
