Out Relic Hunting In The Woods, And More River Gold!:smoke:

My buddy and I hit the woods for a relic hunt. Just the perfect time of year too! Mosquitoes are all dead from the frost and the colors of the leaves are very spectacular. Did manage some interesting finds.

One of the older finds was an old rusted out tobacco tin imported from England. It could be from the late 1800's to early 1900's, as there was a lot of commotion in this area and a nearby shanty town.

Here's the gold from this past week. Shown is a ring I dug up in the woods. It was about 3 inches deep, on a cliff, overlooking a river.

Forecasting a little snow tomorrow evening. I am going prospecting early in the morning before it hits.
