I went for a short ride out to the Mason Tract yesterday to see if I could run onto some deer. I wanted to take some video at standard res with the Sony Camcorder to see how it would look on Youtube.
I also took my Canon Rebel xti.
I saw these deer and stopped for a short video and then took the Canon up the hill for a Panorama shot. I got up there and turned it on and nothing. I checked and the battery is still in the charger at home. Bummed out I went home and got it and came back and went up the hill and took a series of shots. I took them home and stitched them and this is the result. Not fantastic because it was just hand held and the camera has to do a lot of magic because of the sun and all.
I put the Pan on Closr.it so the pic could be made much larger and zoomed. This picture was 57 meg and the limit on Findmall is 450k
Nice day and just a reason to get out and play with the cameras. This area was cut over a year ago and looks like crap but it will fill in in a few years.
Be sure to click on the (+) in the upper right corner of the pan to go full screen. The pan is a full 360 degree so just drag it to the left or right with your mouse
