This coin was deep in the sand under snow-covered beach..the signal it gave was a curious one...definitely silver, but it was erratic in nature..don't know why...I was happy to see it.. and very surprised.never found one like it

Arrows at date...drape under arm visible...no mint mark that I could see.

I don't think I will clean this one..don't want to take a chance on ruining it.

Also found this 925 ring.. before and after cleaning pics

It will dry out and the crust that has built up on her over the years will dry up and crack off doing more damage to the coin. Electrolysis is the best way to safely clean silver coins and you can buy them ready made or you can make one yourself fairly easily. If nothing else, get a small jar of beach sand and salt water and out it back in it until you're ready to clean it.
