Out for a couple of hours today. Looks like the frost is out of the ground. I like it!:thumbup: Got some pennies dating from the 40's on up. Lucked out on a silver quarter.
 
A caribou is nothing more than a northern reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) ...did you know that?
Only in North America are wild Rangifer referred to as caribou. In Eurasia, reindeer are classified as either domesticated or wild.
There are a few difference such as the male's size, fur thickness, birthing month.
Many of the distinguishing traits are thought to be the result of domestication.
However, most reindeers live below the tree line, are NOT silver, and only one has a red nose.
