Nice to be out in the field.Went to a well worked school found three wheat's and newer clad.My wheat to silver ratio is off probably a record for me 25 wheat's at this point and no silver.HH Ron

If I remember correctly July was the last time that I found a silver coin. I have not been finding many wheats either. I have Killed the Clad this year but jewelry and silver coins have been extremely hard to find.

I too never got out much this past summer, maybe 8 hours total while I used to do that in one day several times a week, but like you so many other things would come up that needed fixing around my business and when I got time to get out it would be raining. My health don't help either as I need both knees replaced and keep putting it off, but when it comes to detecting I always seem to be able to get up and down a bit, but don't seem to dig as many iffy signals like I did before.
Silver wise I did get 1 this year which is the lowest I have ever did in my 40 years of detecting and sure plan on beating this year records next year by quite a few more silver. On of my Friends that I used to detect with and uses a Explorer XS stopped by and showed me his silver finds for one day he went over to MN and it was and still used ball Field and he got 55 silver while the other guy got 45 as it made a even 100 in one day with these 2 guys, now that really rubs the salt in the wounds as I wasn't able to go detecting with him, but was ready to even if I had to crawl after hearing this.
I when I did get out it was with my CTX 3030 and the Deus trying to learn and understand them while my GT sat on the wall all summer waiting for it to get out with a brand new 10X12 SEF coil to see how this coil will work as many say it is good, so this will be top priority next summer to get my old Friend the GT out and show others what these detectors can really do.

Rick,good to hear from you.I don't feel comfortable detecting when things need to be done.By the way got a Blisstool headed my way and may try it out to see if it will work in my arsenal,noticed Andy is the moderator here for this detector.LOL always next year for me to get more hunting time.Thanks Ron
