Out for a bit after work today

Got out for a few hours after work today and hit some parks I was sure had been hunted before. Targets were few and far between except for pennies of course... But I did get a few dollars in clad and a 1960's Esso key fob. plus other odds and ends. All in all a fun time out.

Here's the loot....

Nice job Scott! Looks like you cleaned up on the area where you were hunting. I like finding older stuff like the key fob. Today I found a 1963 nickel in a park I do not hunt as often and found a 1955 wheat penny. I hope to go back with a detector that has a larger coil soon. Looks like you found a good mix of coins and other items and had a lot of fun. HH.

Great hunting forsure!!!! Congrats!

That's a great day detecting.

I love my Deleon. I bought it a couple of years ago to try out because I had never had a machine with a display. I didn't expect much in the way of depth and frankly I was shocked when I first used it. The Deleon gets very good depth and the ID is as good as any I've seen with the stock coil. I had heard it wasn't much on depth and the reviews when it came out seemed to downplay it. So I was surprized to find it was every bit as good as the X5 it replaced, for my ground anyhow. I kind of think of it as Tesoro's sleeper machine.

Unfortunately, I will be selling mine along with my Tiger Shark next year as I am moving and will only be hunting salt-water beaches which no Tesoro handles very well except the Sand Shark. Of course.. my Sand Shark will be getting lots of use there!
