with the ace 250.Its been a couple weeks since Ive been out.I put some plastic over it to dodge the light rain.Got $ 1.99 including a nice stone from possibly a ring, a sterling earring thats a clown and,(if you look between the stone and the earring in the photo), a very tiny round piece of metal that read like a nickel.Now thats an incredible small target.Got it in the woodchips with the earring.Also dug tons of small shredded aluminum that read as a nickle, did get 3 nickels, 4 quarters, 6 dimes and 29 pennies.Was beat after two hrs(have to remind myself Im not 25 anymore) and it was raining harder so I called it quits.Goodthing Ive got this lightweight Ace to swing when I want:))
 
You done good and probably paid for your gas. That's how I always look at it. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Hey guys, I post almost exclusively to Royal's forum, but I need a little 'expert' assist here.


I'm thinking of purchasing one of the new Ace 250s when I get to Savannah in a couple of weeks. I've heard good stuff--especially for the price. I've used everything from Fishers to Minelabs since the late '70s but currently don't even own a machine. I got the chance to go to Savannah on business for a month and for the first time, I will be able to hunt the beaches all day Sundays and in the early am.

So, I thought I'd buy one and see what happens. I'd sure like some feedback from some 'real' people instead of the ususal 'garrett/dealer' garb.

From previous posts I have read, the 250 is a GREAT machine, but not the best choice if you are near the wet portion of the beach. I have read quite a few posts with complaints about falsing when you get to the wet sand. On the dry portion of the beach folks are saying it works just fine.
 
Havent tried it on the beaches but love it in the park.It likes shredded aluminum and tabs that read as nickels but thats where the gold is so i dont mind.
