Out Doing A Water Hunt Using The Infinium With The 10" x 14" Mono Coil Today :jump:

It was COLD in the water, as a couple of days we had snow. Too cold for my wet suit, so I used my chest waders. Even still, there was a cold wind. I hunted a lake which I pounded many times last year using the Infinium with the 8" coil. This new 10 x 14 mono seems to get a little more depth, as I was pulling some real deep targets with it. No rings today, but I did get some modern coins and a silver 1910 quarter, which had been in the water for a very long time.

Nice hunt!:detecting:Good clad haul!:clapping:Wow!:surprised:Congrats on the old silver!:cheers:Cool coin!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Also, do you ever use the standard coil anymore on either land or in the water? Considering selling my 1280x and my XLT and buying an Infinium for water hunting and as a land back-up for my f75. Any thoughts you might like to share?

If you are referring to the large DD....no, I don't use it. The 8" mono is a better coil, but I truly like the large mono coil, as it is light, covers a lot of ground and get really good depth too.

Don't sell your other machines, the infinium is a great unit but not for every application. Once you get use to it for the beach or for hunting gold nuggets you will love it, but for hunting parks and the like it will drive you nuts digging everything.
