Out Doing A Little Snow-Coin Shooting On Some Hills....:detecting:

Warmed up a bit today, so I figured that there might be some loot laying on the hills from people playing with there snow toys. Did get a little exercise going up and down some hills and got 8 coins. Sure beats sitting in front of a TV getting depressed on all the international news these days. Much better to stay/live inside your own sphere and enjoy your life. :)

You got that right... news is depressing nowadays. Best to have a hobby(s). :)

That"s the way to do it
great job, turn off the TV and go

John you are an inspiration to get out and MD in the winter. Got out today with my Garrett Ace 250, 55-60 degrees, near a hill that we slid down as kids, some snow still in the shaded area and fired up the machine. Within 5 minutes, a 1916 Barber dime, less than 2 feet away a 1918 Mercury dime. WOW what a day. A clad quarter, a clad dime, couple pennies and then............1787 Colonial coin Georgvs. Heading to a coin dealer to see what they estimate the value to be. Thanks for helping to think outside the box.

Thanks,
I am glad you enjoyed the blog, great day MD for you, congratulation on your finds.
Keep me posted on your next hunting adventure

Out of curiosity John. Have you ever killed or damaged a detector from the cold ?
