I finally located a buddy in my area and we hooked up and hit a few fields in my area...I live on the West end of the City, and he Lives on the East...We spent 3 hours in one field and 1 hour in another...Here are my finds for the day. That is a copper arrow point in the middle there...Total Clad $6.19
All in All a very good day hunting...Finds found with both the BH Land Star and the White's Classic II SL (modified)

HH,

Man I look at your finds when you post them and you seem to be some sort of quarter monster. I can't hit those like that to save me life. But i do tell you what i am getting my new BH 505 this weekend maybe things will change, pun intended. Nice finds, keep it up. And great news about the partner, haven't found one around here yet either. LOL well anyways good job both ways.

Just came back from the park (a small one) found a quarter and a penny. I have a BH Landstar and it loves quarters and dimes! The signal given off by
aluminum can drive you insane but I think I have an answer to it. I swing the detector at an angle and up a bit higher. If the sound changes it's JUNK most
of the time.

If you can lift your coil higher than 6" off the dirt and still get a signal in the quarter to half range, it is deffinitely a burried can...Can slaw is a pain in my Buttkiss in the fields I hunt...The Skag drivers would rather run em over than pick em up...those things come in anywhere from pulltab to 50 cents depending on their size...I find quarters, because I hunt where they are most likely to be dropped...Behind bleachers, and in the field where the Carnival is held each year...The Land Star hits the hardest on Quarters and Dimes...My Whites hits hardest on Zinc I am afraid, and it drives me bonkers...lol...I also found out that if you own a Prizm II and DISC out Foil...Your gonna miss most nickels too, even though you do NOT have them DISCed out...Also found the Prizm II to be VERY wide on the pinpoint (at least without headphones)...I would save my money and get the Prizm 5 or the new 6T.

HH,

nice haul GoGoGopher: Yes i two hunt those quarters my QD II picks them up real good, on those false signals I get a single high tone in the sweep , when that happens I cke a 3 ft area real close an about half the time its a QUATER OR A DIME,
