Hi guys,
Our joint total for our very first year, bearing in mind Scotland is not a rich country and our
climate is very much against us.
We had to work really hard for this!

Awhitster,
I prefer not to be British but Scots.
The pounds are Scottish, Welsh and English.
But you would know them as British.

Just in case you're wondering what's up with the ol' U.S.A. flag, I'd rather be associated with it than the union jack (British flag), since there isn't a Scottish flag in amongst the smileys.
Just my little protest.:usaflag:

Just my little protest.:usaflag:[/quote]I didn't mean to be offensive, I was just trying to figure out the exchange. OK, so, is that calculation right for a Scottish pound. PS, they only had a calculator for a British pound, not Scottish

We have a regular poster form Scotland that would like to see a Scottish flag added to the imicons. Why don't you see if you can get one added for our International friend. Thanks, Awhitster

Yeah I was down through those states in the forties when I was a kid. If you think it's poor now you should have seen it then. I have been in some very poor abodes with dirt floors and nothing on the interior walls, ( just the bare studs staring at you ) rough plank floors, no plumbing, no electricity, no nothing, gunney sacks hung over the windows and doors, with a pot bellied stove for heat or a steel drum made into a stove. Some of the porest souls I ever saw were on Indian reservations and in Appalachia. The southern shanty towns with tar paper shacks where the Blacks lived were a sight to see.

That is a huge result Ian and Eileen! You should be justifiably proud of yourselves.:clapping: Nothing breads success like success! I remember my first year, which was around the $100AUD (40 pounds) mark. Keep up the good hunts. You will only get better.

Coming from a guy like yourself we take that as a big compliment.
We had a lot of fun doin' it and we're hoping to do much better this year as we're constantly reviewing our methods of retrieval to speed things up.:twodetecting::usaflag:
