Our Daily Bread for Tuesday July 12

This reminds me of a passage that is found at Matthew 7:13-14. It speaks of a narrow gate and a narrow road. In contrast it also speaks of a broad gate and a broad road. Following Christ at times can be very difficult. 1 Peter 2:21 states Christ left us amodel to follow his steps closely. Has anyone tried to get exactly in someone elses steps like on a beach? You have to make many adjustments in order to get into another person's steps. Jesus set the standard. We each can ask ourselves, how am I doing in this regard? Do I display love like Jesus did? Am I forgiving others just like he did? There are many ways to imitate Jesus. Sadly many today claim to follow Jesus yet their actions prove otherwise.
