That certainly caused some shivers to run up my spine!!

I have worked and been friends with several wood-workers with damaged fingers in my life and every one of them had gotten too good at their craft and too familiar with their machines and lost focus for one small moment or made a foolish move that cost them dearly!!

I make a point of never losing focus by only using the saws etc on rare occasion and never, ever getting casual with them.

Even with a saw such as this one I would never let my guard down!!

about a year back. I get that it is a safety feature but no way i would test it! Just hope it worked. I thought i saw a piece break off the mechanism when it activated, is it a one shot deal?

Cut a perfect 45 degree on the tip of my middle finger while flicking a piece of wood off by the blade.

Saw to many bad accidents from them over the years while on jobs.... Great took but one mistake can be costly..
