Ok. I think I a going to take a file and break the edge of my upper shaft. It is very squeare and today when I was attempting to connect it , it bit me taking off a section of my finder tip on my left thumb.
It has bee a bit difficult to connect since I got it...

Sorry and ouch....

disconnecting and reconnecting your rods often due to a bike ride carry, you are using the upside-down method, aren't you?

By that I men to press the button on the middle rod, but insert it with the button end pointed UP even though the hole of the upper 'S' rod is pointed DOWN. Due to some friction connection and the angle of rod entry with these Teknetics models, I found them to assemble much more easily, if done that way, and then rotating the middle rod 180

Well the model is the BH pro. But I think I will try what you said and put the button where I can see it and not pinch my thumb again..It cost me about 10 mins trying to see if it would stop bleeding before I was hunting. I keep the lower rod attached to the middle rod. and then tie them across the handle bars.. My long term goal is to add a rear carrier and mount 1 square bucket to carry the disassembled detector and head sets in.
