Other than kellyco

anyone here now where I could buy a new detector online other than kellyco? I don't know about you but they have the worst help and service I have ever experienced. I don't want to pick a random one because I have seen post about fake detectors and I don't want to spend $1000 on some china knock off

A lot depends on what brand you want, the rules are made by the manufacture.

You can order direct from most metal detector companies on line, depending what you want, and are looking for....etcAnd what about your local dealer?

I for one have no trouble from Kellyco, I know sometimes they are very busy, If you don,t get the help you want ask for someone else. I think if you get a bad detector, they will take it back.

And Mr. Bill, his # is on the detector pro site. The folks in Tenn. are good also (got my fisher from them and my probe from Mr Bill. Both were honest and quick). I think all of the sponsors on this forum are straight up" because we the people will voice our experieces. Go to the bottom of the forum and check out the reputation of your choice in feedback! Good luck

As others here have said, you won't go wrong with Richard at Backwoods Detectors or any of the fine sponsors of this forum.

Too numerous to mention on line and depends on what brand...like the idea of your local dealer also as hands demonstration is the best.

Go to one of the Detector classifieds and their sponsors (dealers) are the tops....

Google Metal detector classifieds for above info..

is kellyco a good company to buy from tho? besides what new digger was talking about? i was on there live chat talking to Leilani today,i live in canada...i want to take advantage of there Bogo sale buy one for my son on top of the one i want to get...just iffy on doing this over the net with so much money at stake ...

Bought my Safari from Kellyco and got a spare Bounty Hunter as well for a small increase.. Wanted to trade up ut was outside their couple of weeks. Offered me only 85% of what I paid so I kept the Safari.

Other than a little disgruntled about that they seem ok to deal with.

Recommend Richard of Backwoods for that down home touch and a good deal.

I love Kellyco. I have been dealing with them for years. i bought an F5 a couple weeks ago and took advantage of their bogo sale and got a Titan 2000 also for 95 bucks! Both turning out to be excellent machines. I have never had a problem with them but I'm sure there are other dealers out there too. The other dealers on this forum seem good. :)

Kellyco is the Walmart of metal detectors. They have some good people who try hard to satisfy their customers.

As with any big company, mistakes and miscommunications can happen. They seem to happen a fair amount with Kellyco from what I read, but they seem to be pretty good about straightening their mistakes out.

I wouldn't get too taken with their BOGO stuff, though. The free detectors and free add ons are mostly off-brand Chinese junk that has a "retail" price that seems about ten times more than it's worth.

Guys who sponsor this forum like Richard at Backwoods, Bill Crabtree and Joe DeMarco, I doubt they'll let themselves be undersold by Kellyco. Plus you get the advantage of one on one service from the owner of the company.

My Titan 2000 was made in USA by Bounty Hunter with a 5 year warranty. It's a good machine. For the money I'm finding it's goes deep. In other words it's not a piece of Chinese Crap.

Glad you're happy with it, Liz. No offense intended. I know Bounty Hunter detectors are a very good value, and I think you were wise to avoid the Chinese made for Kellyco models.

Your are right marcomo. There are alot of good dealers out there. I want a ground shark made by lesche and am probably going to go to one of the dealers on here to get one. The best advice is before buying a detector, do some research and go with the dealers with good reputations and good quality name brands like whites and fisher for example. Read the reviews on the detectors your interested in. Keep in mind where and what you will be hunting the most (relics or beach ect). Most all all make sure you have a decent warranty with your detector.:detecting: Good luck and Happy Hunting!!

I purchased several detectors from Kellyco and I would call about a particular detector
several times to see how answers differ from one salesperson to the next.

Ask the same question to 3 different people and get 3 different answers!

I tend to agree that the sponsors of the board are the way to go!

Sorry Kellyco! but if the facts can't be straight across the board ....
then you don't get anymore sales from me!

Besides, I find some of the reps are so busy they want to take a quick
order and get you off the phone.

Does not seem like a company who cares about relationship marketing!

yes!..i have noticed this too!..it seems like they are almost competing against each other for the quick score!
they must work on commission alone!..let the buyer beware!

(h.h!)
