Other manufacturer coils for GTI?

Hi diggers! From what I learn here, the large "pizza" coil aka 12.5 inch coil, is heavy, and throws the unit out of ergonomic balance.
Are there any other manufacturer coil options for the GTI? Just wondering.
I think something like the Bigfoot might work, but you would be sacrificing depth. Kevin in Ipswich, Mass.

I have a 5 inch DD coil which worked OK on the GTI 1500, but something happened to it, and now it will only run stable with a penny taped to it. Kinds strange, huh!

I know a lot of the metal detector manufacturers have stated that if there was a better coil to build on their machines, they would gladly build it.
