ORX can find the small things

today i found a quarter masked again by a sod stake . i was getting a iron signal and a 84 but it was choppy, so i dug the iron sod stake out and swept the coil over it again and got a clear 93-95 wich i know is a quarter and sure enugh up comes a 1983 quarter that had been passed over for many years. and i was finding small things to , earing, small lead weights. small brass chain, fishing lures. and i really did not have the ORX optimized for the small things i was using coin deep . 82 gain, 2 sweep speed. 10.5 Khz and 18 disc, normally for small things i would hunt in 17.2 Khz or 26 khz and use at least 2.5 sweep but even so it was doing well . I use the 9 inch x 35 coil DD. I have showed the detector to several detector guys i met in the park and when i let them hold the detector you always see them raise the eyebrows at how lite it is . wich is one of the biggest reasons i use it

Good story, Thanks. I appreciate it when the poster includes the demodel, coil used, and settings. I do not make a lot of adjustments as I found two set-ups that work for me in the User 5 and User 6 slots.

I keep the 5X9.5 DD HF coil mounted full-time for my site challenges, and there is very little difference between 5 & 6:

User 5: Sensitivity 95 or higher ... Disc. 7 ... Iron Volume 'On' ... Frequency '14.4' ... Reactivity '2.0'

User 6: The only changes are Frequency '31.1' and Iron Volume 'Off'.
