ORO for coastwise and PLATA for me....Seems to be my lot in life lately....

Well coastwise and I treked down to the surf last evening. He was running the Excal and I was running the Mark II. Had taken the unit into the shop and my dealer made a plug adjustment on the coil wire, but the unit was still falsing badly as I always seem to rub through the coil epoxy and the unit begins to false. Have tried marine grade epoxy and rub through that too. I'm not making excuses, this is just what was going down. Garrett needs a coil cover for the Mark II. With no threshold tone it was difficult to hear whispers, but could still pick up the signals when I got a hit. Now we began our hunt at 630p and we were pluggin' along and it was kinda slow, but we both managed to pull a little jewelry and clad out of the drink. I ended up with $3.04 in clad, 2 ferrous hoops, 1 ferrous necklace/bracelet chain, Zippo lighter (gotta be a top of the line Ina unit), square gold plated earring w/cz (my second target and it was looking NICE) and after coastwise left me about 1030p, I began to tear through the surf to shake off this impending shut-out that was looming over my evening. He is on a gold roll lately and there's just no stopping him. I was sweeping long and wide across the lane through a 1151p -0.7L SE 5-10 winds and found this nice little trip saver, a .925 salvation, with onyx colored heart shaped stone and I was proud to see it. Lookin' forward to the gold, been without since 05/07/06. Lean times for Gulf Hunter. Am I mumbling?
