Ormond Beach (Daytona) Low tide Today

Well, The Gold Goddess still doesn't like me. but at least the beach gave up something. For the last 2 weeks it has been BADDDDDDDDDDD. Today the beach had some cuts in it at low tide. I would have thought that SOME jewelry would have showed up. I was digging dimes at 8+ inches. Tomorrow is another day.

Hi David,
I was surprised to get this amount. For the last two weeks I was lucky to get 40 or fifty cents. All the clad has been recent mintage. Even today, the oldest coin was a 1946 nickel. BTW, the BIC lighter worked after it dried out.
And here's a sidebar about the toy car. A father and his little boy were watching me when I recovered it. The kid asked if he could have it and I said sure, and gave it to him. About 20 minutes later as I made the next "lap" of the area, I got to "recover" it again. Father and son nowhere to be seen.. And there was a trash can about 25 feet away. It's no wonder we find so much trash on the beach.
Thanks and HH,

Hi Digger Gabe,
I'm between water machines at the moment. I used a DFX to find this "treasure". I do use it in the water up to about a foot over the coil. I AM very careful to keep an eye on the waves ;-)
I am learning how to set up the DFX properly and I guess that yesterday I had it set up half way right. Previously I used a White's PI Pro & and Beachhunter ID. I can highly recommend either of those as great water machines. I'll be getting another water machine soon.
