Original sovereign

Can anyone tell me how to disassemble my "original" sovereign. I dropped it at the beach today and want to clean it out

If it is like the XS or any of the first Sovereigns there is 2 phillips screws on the back side where the cable connect to the Sovereign that has to come out. Now it should slide out of the case far enough to disconnect the battery wire. I just push a bit on the cable connector to try to slide it out, but some seem to fit tight and have to work the face plate a little as it will stick a bit on the case as it is a tight fit in most cases.

it also helps to insert your headphone plug and wiggle it as you pushing the back where the cable connector as Rick states. this kinda frees up any jams in the front section. do it slowly and take your time, first time especially. pay attention to the battery connector.
Rick the original and XS are the same in this manner. on the original I dont think your gonna find any shielding, if I remember that started on the XS model and not the earlier ones of those either(thats goldcoins reference to the paperclip).
